Why are your products not organic?Updated 7 days ago
We get this question a lot, and it’s an important conversation to have. While we prioritise organic ingredients wherever they align with our standards, we don't believe a 'certified organic' stamp is the only way to measure quality. In fact, sometimes the best choice for your health—and the planet—doesn't come with a badge.
Why we look beyond the 'Organic' label:
Supporting Independent Farmers: Many of our smaller, independent farmers use traditional organic practices but find the official certification process too expensive or time-consuming. We choose to support their craftsmanship and sustainable soil management regardless of their paperwork.
Nutritional Superiority: In certain regions, non-organic ingredients can actually offer superior nutritional profiles or a more reliable supply due to specific soil and climate conditions.
Environmental Impact: We look at the big picture—including carbon footprint and water usage—to ensure our ingredients are truly sustainable, not just 'organic' on paper.
Our Verification Process: Even when an ingredient isn't certified organic, we never guess. We work directly with our suppliers, reviewing detailed reports on exactly how every ingredient is grown, harvested, and handled.
The True Standard: Whether an ingredient is certified organic or not, it must meet our rigorous quality benchmarks. We stand by every single item in our pouches because we know its history from the ground up.
